I wanted to create a very rugged series, using materials that people tend to use to protect the art. So I used exposed wooden frames and plastic wrap as my canvas. I wanted to move away from all the rules forced on me in art college and create something unpretentious. The shapes used, the figures, the splatters are all very traditional Elevator Boy images but this series is less about what I'm thinking and more about my disdain for "artistic rules".
